"I was humming as i walked down the rough thin lanes of the forest. Tall trees were still moist from the rain last night. Weather was pleasantly cold and so i kept on singing. White, red, yellow flowers made the canvas look brighter. The sound of the nearby river rushing towards the majestic waterfall wall, enchanting, was music for my words. I had never realized that nature could be so majestic, so wild and at the same time so peaceful. I was afraid to go towards the waterfall and stand and admire its beauty. I was too small in its existence and it scared me.
I made my way running down the hill along side the pebbles. I could see the waterfall at a sight close enough to feel it and far enough to not fall into it. Humming and imagining what it would be like to live here for some days i was walking carelessly. I forgot what made the forest so alive. I forgot what else can be majestic. I forgot that avoiding something doesn't necessarily mean it will never find you. There i saw..
It was standing in front of me. Looking at me. Calm, composed and ferocious. I froze where i stood. Suddenly the sound of my heart pounding and the water running became so clear. No animal spoke, no bird flew. I wanted to run as fast as i could but i was afraid. This time i won't survive. I won't live. I stood there like a stone and so did he. I wanted it to go away. Some moments later i felt the curse of no motion lift. Then it started walking towards me. Strong powerful legs, beautiful brown skin, hair flowing in the wind, the overpowering aura, the strong jaw. It was hauntingly beautiful but i was scared of it. Then i saw its eyes. Warm, kind, full of love. There was something about them that made me trust it, that made me somehow believe that its not going to hurt me. Its there to protect me. I said to myself i do not need to be protected. That was the first time it spoke to me. It said, 'I am here to protect you. If you do not need that i won't go away. I will stay here as long as i think you need me. If you do not need me, i will go but i will still be around and whenever your heart will call out to me, i will come to you.' Suddenly i felt it, i felt the power of something extraordinary rushing through my veins. I felt the energy of the nature inside of me. I felt the courage in my heart. I was no longer afraid of the majestic waterfall or afraid of the lion that just spoke to me. I was awestruck by the beauty that surrounded me. I was awestruck that i had conquered what i feared the most. I was awestruck because i finally felt power in my heart, mind and soul. Then he came and stood beside me. Suddenly i saw myself standing at the waterfall. the sound of peace in wild. The sight passionate, big and magnificent. I breathed that day." I opened my eyes and smiled. I rushed to my meditation guru to tell her what i just saw. She told me these things were special and so is the power that creates it in our imagination. Our mind, our heart and our soul.
A couple of months later, i was in the cafeteria sipping my hot streaming coffee and enjoying the rain. This still is my favorite season of the city. The cold rains and the sea just steals my heart every-time i look at them. Then he came. Strong, powerful, beautiful tan skin, hair flowing from the wind and that overpowering aura. I was intimidated by him. I had seen him before, but i hadn't seen him enough. That day i saw his eyes. They were the same eyes. Warm and kind and full of love. I just smiled and looked away. What i didn't see was that so did he.

The Obsession Begins: C@RTOON C@RTOON
In this crazy world of crazier people sometimes you need to slow down, take a breath and feel the calm around you. It helps you think about the kind of person you once were and the kind of person you now have become. You might not be able to figure out how and when did you change but you will always remember why you changed and that change happening right now will determine the kind of person you will become one day.
Today i need that calm to get back into the past for a while and discover some freshness in order to bring it back with me. I dedicate this post to all the cartoons and comics i read and saw and grew up. The best part is, all of it smells home. Read on:

I always wondered as a child why is heart amongst the forces and then later on in life i realized that its the most important of it all. Helps me feel the rest 9 thats going to follow.

I will never admit that in public so please do not ask but yes i did some experiments myself with chemistry trying to figure out the... arrggggghhh nevermind i was lame with science anyway. Good fight put up by MOJO JOJO though :)

#7: TALESPIN/ DUCKTALES: Okay i hated Talespin the first time i saw it. I mean ugly fat animals flying a plane? Dude! But anyhoo my kid brother was crazy about it so i ended up spending hours myself too watching it. Mostly i watched it because what followed was Ducktales ooohh hhoooo ooo.. (you were supposed to hear that with the trademark music which i hope you did for your own good ;) ) I was totally mad about the series, Uncle Scrooch, the triplets, Mrs Beakley and the gold coins. Me and Mishee had a deal, he watched Ducktales for me and i returned the favor with stupid Talespin. They were the best moments of my bossy childhood. Yes we bonded over Disney Hour. Thank uou Sony Ent Ltd, Star TV and ZEE TV.

#6: CINDRELLA: The super hot Prince and his charms made me a girl in the heart. :) He was the first animated character i actually fell in love with.(Note: Crushes are not being taken into account here) He was handsome, polite, friendly, charming, intelligent and plain hot. Smoking rich. C'mon he had a palace and a castle.I know i was suppose to be innocent back then but then who are you to judge?!

#5: PETER PAN AND TINKER BELL: When i was 8 i had this huge story book of peter pan and tinker bell. The font was largest and the pictures were colored, big and enchanting. Something about the entire thing was elegant and boyish at the same time. And the fact that they could all fly completely blew me away. The Superman powers never did that to me ever although. I think the reason was the fairy dust and tinker bells' house. Tiny and pretty.

Moving on, I hope all of us remember Alice and her adventures thanks to the 2010 hit movie, but i am talking little Alice and her vivid imaginations that made me realize that being crazy is so much fun. Also i think it was during that time when i started day dreaming creatively and created problems for my mom and dad. I never said i was an easy child. But the entire imagination still takes me to a place where i know that the heart and the mind come together to create something strong as well as delicately beautiful. To add, which i will, the fashion in the movie Dear God was breath taking. A dear designer friend 'Parvani' once told me, 'Dude fashion is heading towards something like what you saw in Alice in Wonderland and its so fucking crazy. Ya dude. Ya Dude. (more giggles)' Exact words. :)
#3: X MEN WOLVERINE: My brother keeps telling me, 'Didi your a boy and a partly nerd one. You beat boys at video games, you bossed over me our entire childhood, you used to beat and fight with your friends all the time, your a tech geek, and your practically crazy and very unladylike like except for the looks' I take that as a compliment and move on but i do tell him its his fault. He is the one who introduced me to the X Men series. The animations, the comics and the movie. Then Hugh Jackman came along and the reason no longer stayed brotherly. ;)

#2: DEXTER'S LABRATORY: Very recently a certain 'Motylal' uploaded her profile picture wherein she tagged herself as the 'Dee Dee' and her brother as ' Dexter'. It inspired me to write this post in the first place. :) The point is, throughout my entire childhood and even now Mishee has been the science boy aka Dexter and has lived upto that name. On the other hand i am the 'Dee Dee' who is carefree and totally awesome. So out of respect for the show and my relationship with my younger brother, i take a few moments and write some more. I wouldnt have been the same without all the above cartoons and i definetly wouldn't have been the same without watching it along with Mishee. I totally love you man.

She was everything i wanted to be the moment i saw her on Disney Hour. That was also the first time i actually fell in love with me. Also lets not forget the super hot bonus she got. Prince Eric. Relating it to my personal life. Haha. Well even i had a certain fishbowl myself and in it i had put my 2 goldfishes and named them 'Ariel 'N Eric' See the picture!

For the brilliant publicist of Lady G..
This post is dedicated to Adrian Read and his talent as a publicist.
I have been following Lady Gaga from the day I saw on you tube that ‘The Giorgio Armani’ has dressed up G for the 2010 Grammy awards and boy she was a sight. (http://operachic.typepad.com/opera_chic/2010/02/giorgio-armani-for-lady-gaga.html ) Futuristic fashion with a dreamy touch. Yellow hair and silver metallic gown. Unconventional, chic and elegant. She resembled moon which intrigued me even more.
I got hooked on and have been ever since.
They say G tries to copy Madonna. I say G is a phenomenon.
Look at the following chronological events that took place after the awards. Also please note that by this time, G was already huge with her ‘The Fame’ and not to mention again her edgy sense of style which is plain berserk and too unconventional for the human race. Every time she makes a public appearance people are shocked and impressed at the same time. Many express their dislike but the point is she is the news every single time she is spotted by the camera. Have a look:
1 1. Lady Gaga dresses as a man who she claims is her alter ego and gave an entire interview which was the cover story for Vogue, Japan, for the September 2010 issue.
2. Apparently our big star G had already had a comic strip published in 2009 and now she is making its sequel. FYI She was MTV Women of the year 2009 too. I know I should have started googling her much before Armani did.
3. My favourite band COLDPLAY ( Respect) along with G help ‘APPLE’ announce its new products. Dude you have to look.
(It was during this time I discovered this song by G called Alejandro and went mad. Ya I know I am my crazy best.. lots of wink)
4. V Magazine seems to be encashing its G investments with our star G posing as ‘Statue of Liberty’ in Louis Vuitton next to the legendary Marc Jacobs.
5. 2 months ago I found this link while I was googling my current obsession G. This act of hers raised controversies but not as much as what was to follow. You have to click on the link:
